2024 Annual Conference Recordings – Lessons from Our International Colleagues: Approaches and Technology (Non-CME)

Dr. Woraphong Manuskiatti is a Professor of Dermatology at the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital of Mahidol University, Thailand where he has served on full-time staff since 1998. Along with his responsibilities in teaching medical students and Dermatology residents and seeing patients, Dr. Manuskiatti has conducted extensive research in the field of laser and energy-based devices (EBDs). In addition to having published over 100 original journal articles and 14 international book-chapters in the field of cutaneous laser surgery, he regularly lectures at and coordinates international conferences on skin laser surgery. Furthermore, he founded and directs the month-long Siriraj International Short Course, an innovative program aimed to educate dermatologists on basic and practical laser and EBD treatment techniques. Since 2005, over 180 physicians from Europe and the Asia-Pacific region have completed the course and brought the benefits of laser surgery in dermatology to new clinics and training hospitals around the world.

Dr. Sahar Ghannam, Consultant of Dermatology, Venereology, Cosmetic Dermatology and Laser since 1998. She is known for having performed dermatological services and cosmetic procedures in Kuwait since 1997 and in the gulf area since 2010.
Dr. Sahar Ghannam is also an Associate Professor of Dermatology & Venereology Alexandria University, Egypt.
She is the Immediate Past President of the International Society of Dermatologic surgery ISDS & Past President of the International Peeling Society IPS.
Dr. Ghannam is the secretary general of the Bio intelligent Agents & Exosomes (Biex) task force and on the Board of London Regenerative Instituite LRI . She is on the International Advisory Board of the 5CC meeting , On the organizing committee of Sharm Derma Meeting & On the Scientific committee of IMCAS Academy. She is an active member in many International Societies as AAD since 1987, EADV, ISD, ASDS, ESLD, DASIL, IACD and Honoree member of the Romanian Society of Cosmetic Dermatology and Argentinian Society of Dermatologic Surgery. She is a reviewer for many International Journals and had published more than ten puplications and written books chapters in four books. A speaker in many International meetings such as Darmstadt Dermatological Surgery, ISDS, IMCAS, Coplasty, 5CC , DASIL , Sharm derm and Dubai Derm meetings.

Dr. Madhuri Agarwal is a board certified dermatologist. With over 18 years of experience, she is a name to reckon with in the field of dermatology and aesthetics. An active trainer on the art and techniques of laser, facial rejuvenation, anti-aging and dermal fillers, she gets invited frequently as a panelist by prestigious dermatologist and plastic surgeon societies globally to share and showcase her key expertise on skin and hair care.

Dr. Chung earned her MD from Yonsei University College of Medicine, Seoul, Korea in 2001. She completed her residency and fellowship training in Dermatology at the same institution. Following that, she finished her post-doctoral research fellowship and residency in dermatology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Philadelphia. Later, in 2016, she completed her dermatopathology fellowship at Boston University, Boston.

Dr. Chung is a board-certified dermatologist and dermatopathologist, serving as the director of cosmetics and laser surgery, as well as the director of the Skin of Color/Asian Skin clinic at the Department of Dermatology, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Her research primarily focuses on histology-based cosmetic procedures, laser therapy, scarring disorders, pigmentary disorders, Asian skin diseases, and Skin of Color.

Kentaro Oku, M.D.

Education: Graduated from Fukushima Medical University

Specialization: Aesthetic dermatology using energy-based devices

Research Achievements: Published over 20 papers and textbooks on aesthetic dermatology, both internationally and domestically.
